You Are Not Alone – Terms & Conditions
1. About the service
You Are Not Alone is an online support membership for parents of autistic and PDA children. The service provides access to member-only resources and live online group support sessions delivered via Zoom.
Our aim is to offer understanding, shared learning, and supportive conversation. This service is not a replacement for medical, mental health, or legal advice.
2. Membership access
When you join You Are Not Alone, you receive:
- Access to the members’ area of the website
- Access to Monday morning and Tuesday evening Zoom support calls each week (for 46 weeks of the year)
- Access to all available videos, articles, podcasts, and downloadable resources
Membership is for personal use only and may not be shared or transferred.
3. Live Zoom calls
We aim to provide weekly live Zoom calls across 46 weeks of the year. This allows us to take planned breaks and maintain the quality and sustainability of the support we offer.
- Calls may on very rare occasions be rescheduled or cancelled due to illness or unforeseen circumstances
- Where possible, notice will be given in advance
- Missed calls are not refundable and are not guaranteed to be replaced
Participation in live calls is optional, and recordings may not always be available.
4. Payments, cancellations, and refunds
- Membership is billed on a recurring monthly basis.
• We offer a one-month free trial period for new members. To access the free trial, valid
payment details must be provided at registration. No payment will be taken during the free trial
period.
• At the end of the free month, membership will automatically continue at £15 per month unless
cancelled beforehand.
• You may cancel your membership at any time through your account settings.
• Once cancelled, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
If you forget to cancel before the first payment is taken at the end of your free trial, you may
request a full refund within seven (7) days of that payment. After this period, or for any
subsequent monthly payments, refunds are not available.
We do not offer refundsfor unused time, missed calls, or early cancellation. This is because access to resources and community support is provided immediately upon joining.
5. Community guidelines and conduct
We are committed to creating a respectful, supportive, and safe space for all members.
By joining, you agree to:
- Treat other members with kindness and respect
- Maintain confidentiality and not share personal stories outside the community
- Refrain from judgement, criticism, or unsolicited advice
We reserve the right to remove any member from the community if behaviour is deemed harmful, unsafe, or disruptive. In such cases, membership fees are not refundable.
6. Nature of support
The support offered through You Are Not Alone is based on lived experience and professional insight. It is intended for reflection, learning, and emotional support.
It does not constitute:
- Medical advice
- Psychological therapy
- Legal advice
Members are encouraged to seek appropriate professional support where needed.
7. Changes to the service
We may update or adjust the content, format, or schedule of the service from time to time to improve quality or respond to member needs. Any significant changes will be communicated clearly.
